We Support Armenia and Will Double Our Assistance: Ursula von der Leyen
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, spoke to reporters regarding the topics to be discussed at the upcoming European Political Community summit in Granada, including issues related to Armenia.
“The topic of Armenia will have a significant place in our meeting today. I will be meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia. We support Armenia and are addressing the country's humanitarian needs, for which we have already allocated €5.2 million. I will inform Nikol Pashinyan that we will double this amount to reach €10.4 million. We will also provide direct budget support amounting to €15 million. We will discuss what more we can do to support Armenia in this difficult situation,” von der Leyen announced.
