Discussions in Granada Should Be Based on 3 Principles: MP from Civil Contract

Discussions in Granada were to be based on three principles, which have also been confirmed in Brussels. This was stated by Arthur Hovhannisyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction, during briefings in the National Assembly.

“The first principle relates to mutual recognition of territorial integrity, respectively covering areas of 29,800 and 86,600 square kilometers, the unblocking of infrastructure based on the principles of authority, reciprocity, and equality, and the third principle was that demarcation and delimitation should take place based on the Alma-Ata declaration, with a decision to be made regarding which map to use,” said Hovhannisyan.

Although Azerbaijan has rejected the meeting in Granada, the Armenian side is preparing to meet with several members of the European political representation to present Armenia’s approaches, principles, and hopes for support from European partners regarding the peace agenda.

Journalists asked if it was possible for the next meeting with Aliyev to be held in Moscow instead of the West. “Let’s not use the word ‘instead’. Armenia uses all diplomatic channels, effective platforms to build peace in the region,” the MP responded.
