US to Provide $11.5 Million Assistance to Armenia: Power
The United States will provide $11.5 million in assistance to Armenia for humanitarian needs. This was stated by Samantha Power, the Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, while speaking to reporters in Syunik.
According to her, the assistance will be directed towards both food procurement and social and psychological support.
“We must ensure that the international community has access to Nagorno-Karabakh, where there are still tens of thousands of ethnic Armenians living in very vulnerable conditions. And we are already seeing testimonies from people who have fled violence and deprivation, living in fear under the authority of the Azerbaijani government,” said Power.
