Video: Bridge Collapses in Azerbaijan, Car Falls into River; Injuries Reported
A bridge has collapsed in the Khachmaz region of northern Azerbaijan. As a result of the collapse, three people have been injured. This information comes from the press service of the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to preliminary reports, emergency workers have successfully rescued two individuals using special measures and have handed them over to the ambulance teams.
Azerbaijani media reports indicate that a car fell into the river because of the collapse, leading to the injuries. The rise in water level in the river has been noted as the cause of the bridge's failure.
The State Highway Agency of Azerbaijan has clarified that the bridge over the Gudialchay River was built in 1974. The agency has requested drivers to use an alternative route.
