Hajiev States Under What Conditions Azerbaijan is Ready to Allow ICRC to Transport Aid from Armenia to Artsakh
Azerbaijan is prepared to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to transport aid from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh if the Red Crescent's assistance simultaneously enters the region. This was stated to Reuters by Hikmet Hajiyev, an assistant to the Azerbaijani president.
According to him, the Lachin corridor and the Aghdam road could be opened simultaneously as part of a pilot project aimed at easing tensions and advancing peace negotiations between Yerevan and Baku.
It is noteworthy that earlier it was reported that two trucks loaded with 40 tons of flour from Baku had arrived in Aghdam. The Artsakh authorities have already announced that this step has not been coordinated with them in any way.
