Typhoon Saola Ravages China: Over 780,000 Evacuated
Typhoon Saola has struck Guangdong province in southern China, according to Xinhua agency. The maximum wind speed reached 42-46 m/s.
More than 780,000 people have been evacuated from dangerous areas in Guangdong. All 80,000 fishing boats in the province have returned to port, and 13 cities have postponed the start of the autumn semester for elementary, secondary schools, and kindergartens.
