Armenia's Ministry of Defense Denies Increased Tensions in Sotk Region of Gegharkunik

As of 12:30 PM today, the situation at the frontline remains relatively stable. This was reported by Armenia's Ministry of Defense, rejecting claims that there is an increase in tensions in the Sotk region of Gegharkunik.

"The circulating reports that Armenian positions in the Sotk area were subjected to mortar fire around 12:00 PM do not reflect reality," the Ministry’s statement said.

It is worth recalling that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have opened intense fire towards Armenian positions in the Sotk and Norabak communities since September 1, starting at 07:50 AM. Azerbaijan has also employed mortars and drones in the attack. The Armenian side has reported 3 casualties and 2 injuries.
