During a campaign event in the Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan, a confrontation occurred involving the city’s deputy mayor and the candidate for mayor from the ruling Civil Contract party, Tigran Avinian. Avinian approached a resident and extended his hand, but it remained suspended in mid-air. The woman told him, 'Go away' and gestured for him to leave.

Avinian attempted to seek clarification, but the woman was unwilling to engage in a lengthy conversation, quickly retreated into her home, and closed the door in Avinian's face.
