EAEU is Developing Well Despite Complex International Situation: Nikol Pashinyan
Despite all challenges, the EAEU is developing well, despite the complex international situation. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during an extraordinary session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
He noted that trade turnover within the union is growing at stable rates. Pashinyan mentioned that the member countries of the EAEU are working on the project presented by Russia, the St. Petersburg declaration, adding, “It is a very interesting project. And many provisions are generally acceptable. I believe that there is a positive attitude towards the project. There are also nuances that need to be discussed further.”
According to him, there is an issue of economic integration where the positions of the member countries differ slightly. “Of course, there are also many nuances regarding the further development of the EAEU. The creation of a common gas market and energy market is of fundamental importance. It is also important to consider the governments’ financial and credit policies,” Pashinyan added.
It should be noted that today an extraordinary session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is taking place in a face-to-face format in Tsaghkadzor.
