VIDEO: Earthquake Recorded Alongside Tropical Storm 'Hilary' in the US

The tropical storm 'Hilary' that reached the shores of California has caused flooding in the east and west of Los Angeles. Before hitting California, the storm passed through Mexico, claiming one life there and flooding roads and streets. This was reported by Reuters.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency in Southern California. Forecasts indicate that mountainous and desert areas are expected to receive 12-25 cm of rainfall, nearly as much as these desert regions typically see in an entire year.

The storm has uprooted trees and lifted boulders into the air. Several sporting events have been postponed, and hundreds of flights have been canceled. Classes were also canceled on August 21 in two California counties.

Simultaneously with 'Hilary,' a 5.1 magnitude earthquake was reported north of Los Angeles. The US Tsunami Warning Center has indicated that no tsunami threat has been declared following the earthquake. There have been no reports of damage or injuries from the earthquake.
