Armenian Photographer Wins 'Planet Earth Life Framer' International Competition
Armenian photographer Haik Barseghyan has become one of the 15 winners of the 'Planet Earth Life Framer' international competition, according to Forbes. Barseghyan's work titled 'Winter in the Jungle' received an honorary award in the competition.
'The winter landscape of the Southern Armenian Highlands (Khostu peak is located 9 km southwest of Kapan city in the Syunik province) resembles a dense jungle, contrasting with the harsh mountains in the foreground. The image seems to present an intriguing combination, as it captures a winter landscape where visitors are typically greeted by dry, barren vistas,' notes the publication.
The competition took place on World Photography Day, August 19.
