Discussion Procedure Started Regarding Physical Violence Against Journalist: Human Rights Defender of Artsakh
On July 11, journalist Haik Ghazaryan of CivilNet filed an oral complaint with the Human Rights Defender, and according to information circulated online, a group of individuals in civilian clothes attacked him, pulling him and striking him.
In connection with this incident, a discussion procedure has been initiated within the Human Rights Defender's office. This was reported by the office of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Artsakh.
The Human Rights Defender strongly condemns the violence against the journalist, demanding that law enforcement agencies take all necessary actions to uncover the details of the incident, identify those suspected of committing the crime, and hold them accountable.
