UN Efforts Yield No Results, Lavrov States

The UN's efforts regarding the implementation of the Russian part of the grain deal have yielded no results. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“As for the Russian section of that package (the grain deal), not a single one of its points has been implemented. We have been hearing for many months from representatives of the UN secretariat, the Secretary-General and his deputies, who have been instructed to deal with this, that they are making incredible efforts... These incredible efforts have yielded absolutely no results,” said the minister during a press conference following the sixth phase of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Russia's strategic dialogue.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had stated, after talks with Vladimir Zelensky, that he expects to negotiate with Vladimir Putin regarding the grain deal. Erdoğan expressed hope that the
