We Are Against Changing Borders in the South Caucasus, Says Iranian Foreign Minister
“If transport and communication links are restored in the region, the South Caucasus can become a transit center for the world. But at the same time, we must note that we are against changing borders in the South Caucasus,” Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian emphasized today during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
He stated that peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia should continue in accordance with the trilateral agreement.
If regional communications are unblocked, then the South Caucasus has all the potential to become a transit center for the world, the head of Iranian diplomacy expressed.
Regional issues can only be resolved through cooperation, he added.
