We Value US Involvement in Establishing Stable Peace, Says Deputy Prime Minister
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated in an event organized on the occasion of the US Independence Day on June 29. He congratulated the American people on the upcoming Independence Day on behalf of the Government of Armenia, wishing them prosperity and progress.
The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the role of the Armenian-American community, which has made a significant contribution to the sustainable development of American society through hard work and dedication.
Mher Grigoryan noted that a strong partnership has been established between the two countries, which has been continuously expanding and strengthening in recent years, reaching the level of strategic dialogue. He stressed that the Armenia-US partnership is based on a common vision of fundamental principles of mutual respect, justice, peace, and human dignity.
The Deputy Prime Minister also addressed the issue of deepening trade and economic ties with the US and pointed out that substantial opportunities and potential for cooperation exist, particularly in the fields of high technology, finance-banking, and energy.
Mher Grigoryan expressed gratitude to the United States for its support in developing democratic institutions in Armenia, strengthening the rule of law, promoting transparency, and fighting corruption. Concluding his speech, he stated:
“Unfortunately, today the Armenian people face significant external security challenges. In this regard, we greatly value US involvement and efforts to establish lasting and stable peace in the South Caucasus, to settle Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, and to address the rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.”
