VIDEO: How Putin Silenced the CEO of Gazprom Lakhta During the National Anthem

Russian President Vladimir Putin has demonstrated how to conduct oneself during the playing of the national anthem. Local media report that the footage shows him silencing Elena Ilyukhina, the CEO of Gazprom Lakhta, with a hand gesture during the anthem.

Putin participated in the ceremonial raising of the flags of the Russian Federation, the USSR, and the Russian Empire. A 179.5-meter tall flagpole has been erected in the 300th-anniversary park in Saint Petersburg.

The President arrived via the 'Okhta' boat in the waters of the Gulf of Finland, near the Lakhta Center, where he observed the ceremony from the water.
