Peskov Comments on Lukashenko's Statement
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has commented on Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's statement regarding discussions between Russia and Ukraine about leasing Crimea as part of a draft agreement in the spring of 2022.
Peskov told reporters that the possibility of leasing Crimea was not discussed by either delegation. "Crimea is a Russian region; no one can lease it," said the Kremlin representative.
It is worth noting that Lukashenko claimed that Russia wanted to lease Crimea.
