Video: Postponement of Meeting in Washington Linked to Erdogan's Visit to Baku, Yeghoyan
Arman Yeghoyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ruling Civil Contract faction, addressed the postponement of negotiations scheduled in Washington during a press briefing with reporters. In response to a question about why the discussions had been postponed at the request of the Azerbaijani side, he stated:
“My assumption is that they had a guest during these days, specifically, you have already learned that the President of Turkey is preparing to visit Azerbaijan, Baku. In my opinion, their foreign minister could not be absent from their country during this period,” Yeghoyan said.
It should be noted that the spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on their Facebook page that the next round of discussions planned in Washington for next week has been delayed at the request of the Azerbaijani side.
