Denmark to Supply Ukraine with $36 Million in Arms
Denmark will supply Ukraine with $36 million worth of ammunition. This was announced by the Kingdom's Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen on Monday.
He spoke about 2,000 artillery shells. “This is specifically at the request of Ukraine and amounts to nearly a quarter billion kroner (over $36 million). Thus, this is a significant contribution that is truly needed by Ukraine,” the Foreign Minister's words were quoted by Ritsaus Bureau.
Among other things, the discussion was about ammunition. The decision to provide additional military assistance to Ukraine was made on June 12. The necessary funds will be allocated from a fund established and approved by the majority of parties in the Danish Parliament on March 15, 2023. The size of the fund is approximately 7 billion kroner (more than $101 million).
