16-Year-Old Arrested for Drawing Mustache on Erdoğan's Poster in Turkey
During the presidential elections in Turkey, various areas of cities were decorated with campaign posters of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, president of the Justice and Development Party (AKP). This is reported by Ermenihaber.am.
In the city of Mersin, a 16-year-old boy drew a mustache resembling Hitler's on one of Erdoğan's posters. He is also accused of writing offensive remarks on the poster.
The police identified the boy and took him into custody. Regarding the incident, the minor testified, stating that he personally drew the mustache but denied writing any profanity on other parts of the poster.
The boy was arrested on charges of insulting the president and sent to a juvenile facility in Tarsus.
