Concerns Raised Over Attempts to Seize More Territory from Armenia, Says Mirzoyan
In the past three years, beginning May 21, 2021, Azerbaijani armed forces have infiltrated Armenian territory multiple times. Even in the absence of large-scale military assaults, incidents such as those near Tegh village demonstrate a prevailing misunderstanding. This was stated today, June 5, during discussions on the 2022 budget in the National Assembly by Ararat Mirzoyan, the Armenian Foreign Minister.
Gegam Manukyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, noted that Armenia has recognized Georgia's territorial integrity, yet no specific figures have been disclosed, and the delimitation process is still ongoing. Addressing the incident near Tegh village, Mirzoyan remarked, 'Moreover, this misunderstanding is a rather neutral term and presumes a lack of ill intentions; however, we have concerns that there are indeed deliberate attempts to seize more territory from Armenia—sometimes small, sometimes large. We are interested in having this border demarcated as clearly and as promptly as possible.'
