Washington Will Provide Kyiv with All Necessary Weapons for Counteroffensive, Blinken Says

Washington will assist Kyiv with all essential weapons needed for a counteroffensive, stated U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in response to Ukrainian President Zelensky's criticism.

According to the Ukrainian President, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already ready for a counteroffensive but are still waiting for the transfer of "certain munitions" from the West.

“We are literally working every day with the Ukrainians and this coalition of countries to provide support. If there are issues, if there are shortages, and they tell us about it, we will do everything we can to fill that gap,” Blinken said.

Blinken also defended the British government’s decision to transfer long-range “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles to Kyiv.
