France to Block Websites Spreading News from Sanctioned Media
French authorities will block websites broadcasting information from media outlets that are under sanctions as part of a new bill on "Digital Space Security." The announcement was made by Jean-Noel Barrot, the Minister Delegate for Digitalization and Telecommunications, citing examples such as Sputnik and RT France.
The ministry stated that this measure will help protect citizens in the digital space, especially against the threat of propaganda content dissemination.
According to Barrot, the bill is expected to be presented for Senate discussion in early July.
