Erdogan Again Did Not Participate in Pre-Election Events Today

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan again did not participate in events held as part of the pre-election program today.

According to local media reports, the events had been scheduled in advance. Erdogan's administration has denied reports that he suffered a heart attack. This statement was made by the center for combating misinformation within the Turkish leader's administration.

"Claims that the president has suffered a heart attack and has been hospitalized are not true. The country's leader will participate in the fuel loading ceremony at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, which will be broadcast live on Thursday," the center announced on Twitter.

Turkey’s Vice President Fuat Oktay, for his part, stated that Recep Tayyip Erdogan is experiencing a "mild cold."
