VIDEO: How Lawful Were the Police Actions in the Club? Batoyan

It was reported that officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Central Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia conducted a special operation at the "Polygraph" club on Koryun Street. Reports indicated that police detained approximately 40 individuals from the location, many of whom were found to be in possession of various types of narcotics, suspicious objects, and cold weapons.

During a special session of the National Assembly, lawmakers from the ruling Civil Contract party expressed different opinions regarding this matter. Zaruhy Batoyan, during her questioning time, stated that the police used violence in the club.

“Recently, the police carried out an operation at one of the clubs in Yerevan, allegedly to prevent the circulation of drugs. It is beyond discussion that combating crime should be rigorous, but it should never be accompanied by violence,” she emphasized.
