VIDEO: 'If Necessary, I Will Spit' - Simonyan to Opposition
During the speech of independent MP Taguhi Tovmasyan in the National Assembly, the situation in the hall escalated.
"My time is up, but I will not leave the podium, I am carrying out a political action," announced Tovmasyan.
National Assembly President Alen Simonyan demanded that the microphone be turned off and then called for the security staff of the National Assembly session hall.
A scuffle broke out between the MPs and security personnel. One of the opposition MPs shouted from the hall that he could spit, to which Alen Simonyan responded, "If necessary, I will spit."
