It was an emotional moment when a fool burned the Azerbaijani flag: MP from the ruling party
“It was an emotional moment when a fool burned the Azerbaijani flag,” said Hakob Aslanyan, an MP from the ruling party, referring to the action of designer Aram Nikolian, as reported by the daily newspaper ‘Hraparak’.
“And another fool starts to enumerate at the ‘Hayeli’ club, saying, look, the Azerbaijanis did this in Hungary, they did that in the Czech Republic against Armenians. And this fool, in his ignorance, is unable to understand that... yes, if you are so tough, go do it outside too,” he stated.
“Azerbaijan has never burned our flag within its own borders; they have been more civilized than us. And today, to applaud a fool who burned a flag and claims it was a patriotic act is ridiculous,” the MP emphasized.
The MP seemed to forget that on October 1, 2011, during the World Boxing Championships in Baku, stones were even thrown at our athletes; members of an NGO called the ‘Organization for the Liberation of Karabakh’ led by Akif Nagi announced that they had previously informed authorities that “when Azerbaijani territories are occupied by Armenians,” they “will not tolerate the presence of Armenians in Azerbaijan.”
