Not Random Vandalism: Russian Embassy Comments on Vandalism at Baku Cemetery
The Russian embassy in Azerbaijan has expressed outrage over the vandalism that occurred at a Russian cemetery in Baku, resulting in the destruction of about 100 graves. The diplomatic mission released a statement regarding the incident on their Telegram channel.
“Given the scale of this disgraceful act, it is difficult to consider it a random act of hooliganism. It is sad that this occurred in Azerbaijan, which promotes a policy of tolerance and multiculturalism,” the statement reads.
The embassy added that its employees have visited the scene to investigate the events and expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani leadership for their prompt response to the incident.
