What's Known About the Discussions Between Lavrov and Mirzoyan
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia, Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov, have discussed issues related to the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku. This information was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry's website.
It was noted that the meeting took place today in Samarkand, during the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council.
"The heads of the foreign political departments discussed a number of urgent issues on the bilateral agenda. They exchanged views on regional issues. The importance of intensifying efforts in all directions for the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations was emphasized, in accordance with the agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan from 2020-2022," the statement read.
The Foreign Ministers agreed to continue communication on diplomatic themes.
It is noteworthy that the previous meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia took place on March 20 in Moscow.
