Andranik Kocharyan on Zakharova's Statement

Andranik Kocharyan, the head of the National Assembly's Committee on Defense and Security, commented on the statement made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, regarding Russia's actions to ease tensions. He noted that Russia had participated in halting the aggression in the area of Tegh village in some format; however, the issue was primarily resolved due to the actions of the Armed Forces of Armenia.

“I do not doubt the words of Maria Zakharova that Russia participated in some format, but nevertheless, it was the Armenian Armed Forces that fought. If we had not fought or suffered casualties, no amount of calls from the Russian foreign ministry would have led to a resolution of the problem. The issue was solved primarily due to the brave actions of our Armed Forces and our military personnel,” the lawmaker stated.
