NATO Accumulates Forces Near Kaliningrad Region Borders, Says Lukashenko
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has stated that NATO is accumulating forces and resources near the borders of Russia and Belarus, particularly concerned with strengthening its positions close to the Kaliningrad region. This information was reported by tass.ru.
“There are accumulations of NATO forces near the borders of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, they are particularly worried about the Kaliningrad region,” Lukashenko said.
The Belarusian leader noted that the North Atlantic Alliance has resorted to such actions following the unsuccessful attempts to economically isolate Moscow and Minsk. “Economically it did not work; we must exert targeted pressure through military means,” he explained.
According to the President, Western countries “wanted to take” Russia and Belarus.
