«Drink Chamomile Tea to Calm Down»: Erdoğan and Opposition Politician Clash
The leader of Turkey's opposition party, IYI (Good Party), Meral Akşener, has criticized government actions following the devastating earthquakes that occurred on February 6. According to Ermenihaber, in response to her criticism, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan accused Akşener of spreading lies.
“You shouldn't lie, Ms. Meral. I have no dealings with lies. Unfortunately, your nose is poking into other places, be careful. You have nothing to do with me,” Erdoğan responded nervously.
In a counter to Erdoğan's heated response, Meral Akşener took to her Twitter page, stating, “I see you are nervous. Drink some chamomile tea this evening to calm down.”
