‘Whoever said that has put their heads against the wall’: Gasparyan says he will not return the house to the state
The former Chief of Police of Armenia, Vladimir Gasparyan, who is involved in a case regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin, has stated that he will not return his house to the state.
“Whoever said that has put their heads against the wall,” Gasparyan told reporters during a brief conversation.
He called on journalists to attend the court hearings to ensure that the property was not acquired through illegal means. “You will come, you will see,” he said.
Gasparyan claimed that he has been punished for being a Christian. “I have been punished now, punished for being very lawful as a Christian and for forgiving and tolerating all kinds of scum. In Christianity, forgiveness and tolerance also have a limit, after which it turns into guilt,” he stated.
He assured that he is standing strong, saying, “I am on that path, and let God call me if I do not stand up.”
When asked how it was possible to build such a luxurious mansion on the salary of a police chief, Gasparyan replied, “With a police chief’s salary, one could not create such luxury; one could only furnish it, plant flowers, and put in trees.”
As for where he got all the money, he responded, “What is it to you?”
