If Armenia does not accept Azerbaijan's terms for delimitation, there will be no peace agreement, Aliyev said: Pashinyan
“The events that took place in the village of Talish are fundamental evidence of the ethnic cleansing and genocidal policies carried out by Azerbaijan. In this village, rendered devoid of Armenians as a result of the 44-day war, Azerbaijan is demolishing houses that rightfully belong to Armenians and replacing them with homes intended for Azerbaijanis. What we have been warning about for a long time is now a reality. The Azerbaijani leadership is demonstrating its model of guaranteeing the rights and security of the Artsakh Armenian population and 'integration'. Demolishing houses that belong to Armenians by right of ownership, constructing homes for Azerbaijanis in their place, and erasing Armenian inscriptions from ancient Armenian monuments, while considering the issue resolved, are blatant acts of aggression,” said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
Pashinyan noted that Azerbaijan's actions clearly contradict point 7 of the trilateral statement of November 9, which addresses the return of internally displaced persons and refugees. “March 18 should have been marked by the return of the Armenian population to Talish, not by an act of vandalism that involved demolishing their homes. One main message can be distilled from the Azerbaijani leader's speech on March 18: he openly and literally stated that Armenia must accept Azerbaijan's terms and agree to delimit according to Azerbaijan's conditions; otherwise, there will be no peace agreement. This is difficult to characterize in any other way than as an act of aggression against the Republic of Armenia and a gross violation of agreements reached at the highest level,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
