Court Rulings Must Be Implemented: UN Secretary-General
The UN Secretary-General acknowledges the decisions made by the International Court of Justice on February 22, regarding the proceedings between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. This was stated by the spokesman for the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric, in relation to the decisions of the International Court of Justice concerning the proceedings between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“The Secretary-General welcomes the trust that the governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan have placed in the International Court of Justice to resolve their disputes. He reminds that court rulings are mandatory and expresses hope that the parties will fulfill their obligations, including ensuring the unhindered movement of people, vehicles, and goods in both directions along the Lachin corridor,” the statement said.
The Secretary-General hopes that Armenia and Azerbaijan will continue to work towards improving their bilateral relations and strongly encourages constructive dialogue.
