France Temporarily Closes Its Consulate General in Istanbul
Following Great Britain and Germany, France has temporarily closed its consulate general in Istanbul due to security concerns. This was reported by CNN Turk.
It was previously announced that representatives of the British and German consulates located in Istanbul had decided to halt their operations for security reasons. Reports indicated that there is a threat of terrorist attacks in the area where the consulates are located.
Earlier, the Netherlands had also suspended its consulate operations. Additionally, the embassies of the United States and France have warned their citizens about the potential for terrorist activities in Istanbul.
