New Details on the Use of Unknown Gas at School No. 11 in Hrazdan and Injured Children

As previously reported, 12 children aged 9-14 were transferred to the Hrazdan Medical Center due to the use of an unknown gas by one of the students at School No. 11 in Hrazdan. The children have been admitted to the emergency department of the Hrazdan Medical Center. It has been reported that 4 of the injured children have already returned home.

Auroranews.am contacted Inga Hayriyan, the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Kotayk Regional Administration, to obtain complete information about the incident. In our conversation, she stated that the event occurred today.

“Around 11 o'clock today, the Hrazdan Medical Center received a call from School No. 11 in Hrazdan. As indicated by the ministry, 12 children aged 9-14 were transferred to the hospital as a result of the use of an unknown gas. The hospital immediately informed both the police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations about the incident.

The children’s condition is currently assessed as satisfactory; 4 have been discharged, and no one’s life is in danger. Both the police and the regional administration are conducting investigations. The circumstances of how the incident occurred are still unclear,” Inga Hayriyan added.

She also noted that the school is a middle school. “I assume it was in a higher grade, as it is mentioned that the injured children were aged 9-14.”
