Araksia Svajyan Appointed Deputy Minister
By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Araksia Svajyan has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
"Guided by the first part of Article 9 of the Law on Public Service, Araksia Svajyan has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports starting from January 3, 2023," the Prime Minister's decision states.
The newly appointed Deputy Minister possesses a PhD in pedagogical sciences and holds the title of associate professor. With qualifications as a special educator and speech therapist, Araksia Svajyan has participated in seminars, training courses, as well as scientific conferences focused on inclusive education and issues concerning youth with special needs in various academic international platforms.
She is a member of expert groups of several prestigious international organizations and centers, and the author of more than 60 scientific articles. Since 2020, she has been leading the Republican Psychological-Pedagogical Center of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
