Adam Schiff Calls for Assistance in Ensuring Security for Artsakh
“A patient in a hospital in Artsakh died because the blockade by Azerbaijan cut off their access to medical treatment. Many patients remain in danger. Essential supplies are running out. The humanitarian crisis is no longer a potential crisis; it is already here. I call on President Biden to help ensure the security of Artsakh,” wrote U.S. Representative Adam Schiff on his Twitter account, sharing a letter he had addressed to U.S. President Joe Biden back on December 16.
It is worth noting that since December 12, Azerbaijani so-called 'environmental activists' have unilaterally blocked the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia, creating a humanitarian disaster. People are unable to return to their homes, children cannot reach their parents, and critically ill patients cannot be transported to Armenian medical facilities. Supplies of medicine and food are dwindling by the day, and imports are impossible.
