My Son Mateo Left the Stadium in Tears
Argentinian national team captain Lionel Messi has revealed that one of his sons was in tears after the team's loss to Saudi Arabia at the World Cup. Seven-year-old Mateo Messi, who was with his mother Antonela and his brothers Thiago (10) and Ciro (4) to support his father in Qatar, couldn't hold back his emotions as they left the stadium.
“After the first game, Mateo left the stadium in tears. Thiago was counting, explaining to him that if we win both games, we will advance to the playoffs,” Messi was quoted by Goal.
It is worth mentioning that 35-year-old Messi confidently converted a penalty in the first half, but after the break, the Saudis not only equalized the score but also won 2-1.
