Kiev's Situation is Very Severe: Zelensky's Chief of Staff
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that 85 missiles have been launched in Ukraine. He also confirmed that most Russian missile strikes targeted energy infrastructure. Additionally, Zelensky stated that 20 more strikes are expected.
Ukrainian President's Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak described today's shelling in Kiev as Russia's response to Zelensky's speech at the G20 summit.
“Russia is responding to Zelensky’s powerful speech at the G20 with a new missile attack. Does anyone seriously believe that the Kremlin truly wants peace? It seeks obedience. But in the end, terrorists always lose,” wrote Yermak.
The President's Deputy Chief of Staff Kyrylo Tymoshenko stated, “The situation is critical. The majority of missiles have struck in the central and northern parts of the country. The situation in the capital is very severe, and special schedules for blackouts in emergencies are being implemented. Ukrenergo has been forced to initiate emergency disconnections.”
