Biden Extends State of Emergency in the Country
U.S. President Joe Biden has once again extended the state of emergency in the country due to foreign interference threats in elections or undermining confidence in them. The state of emergency will remain in effect after September 12, according to a letter from the White House leader addressed to the leaders of the Congress chambers.
At the same time, the U.S. leader notes that there is currently no evidence that foreign forces are attempting to influence U.S. elections in any way.
It is worth recalling that midterm elections for Congress will take place in November in the U.S. The U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will also compete for the presidency.
