Minister Papikyan Presents Situation at Armenian-Azerbaijani Border in Pentagon

Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan wrote on his Facebook page: "On September 8, I met with US Assistant Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Kahl at the Pentagon. The meeting was also attended by Lilith Makunts, Armenia's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the USA.

During the meeting, we discussed the entire agenda of Armenian-American defense cooperation, and agreements were reached on enhancing cooperation in peacekeeping missions, military education, military medicine, and other areas. At the request of the American side, I presented the geopolitical situation surrounding Armenia, including the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The parties emphasized efforts aimed at achieving long-term peace and stability in the region. The meeting also addressed international security issues of mutual interest."
