Evacuation of Women and Children from Kupyansk Due to Ukrainian Forces' Shelling

Kupyansk and the Kupyansk region in Kharkiv are seeing the evacuation of women and children due to airstrikes by the Ukrainian armed forces, reported the head of the city administration, Vitaly Ganchev.

“Today, the situation in Kupyansk has reached a point where we are forced to ensure the evacuation of the population, even children and women, since the city is constantly under terrorist threats and the ongoing shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces, which are making attempts to destroy the city’s infrastructure,” he said in a video published on the district's press service Telegram channel, according to RIA Novosti.

According to Ganchev, the Ukrainian armed forces have caused “serious material and moral damage” to the residents, and evacuation remains the only way to save the civilian population.
