Myanmar's Prime Minister Calls Putin 'World Leader'
Myanmar's Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing has referred to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "world leader." He made this statement during the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) on September 7.
The visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Southeast Asia occurs against the backdrop of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's departure from Taiwan. Min Aung Hlaing explained his statement by saying that Putin is organizing stability on the global stage.
“And we would call you not just the leader of Russia, but the leader of the world, because you oversee and organize stability throughout the world,” said the Prime Minister of Myanmar.
