The Ministry of Defense Issues a New Statement

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan disseminated another piece of disinformation on September 6, claiming that the Armenian Armed Forces allegedly opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on September 5.

This was reported by the press spokesperson of the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

“This approach, based on absolutely false information about the Armenian side supposedly carrying out aggressive actions and artificially escalating the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, in no way contributes to the actual stabilization of the border situation. Armenian Armed Forces units have not opened fire on Azerbaijani positions. Furthermore, as previously reported, a conscript soldier, Junior Sergeant Arman Gagik Saroyan, was fatally shot the day before due to fire from the Azerbaijani side,” it was stated.
