We are waiting for a response: Russian Foreign Ministry on blaming Russians for the tragedy at Surmalu
Moscow is awaiting an official response from Yerevan regarding the note of protest addressed to the Armenian Foreign Ministry. This was announced during a press briefing by Ivan Nechayev, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Press of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“We are ready to confirm the fact that a relevant note has been sent to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, as stated by the Russian Embassy in Armenia. During its preparation phase, the acting representative of Russia today had a constructive conversation with the leadership of the Armenian Foreign Ministry. We are waiting for a response,” Nechayev said.
It should be noted that yesterday it became known that the Russian Embassy in Armenia sent a note of protest to the Armenian Foreign Ministry due to information manipulation regarding Russia. The embassy's statement indicated that they were outraged by the cynical speculations circulating within the local information space, which contain derogatory and false accusations against Russian institutions regarding their alleged complicity in the tragedy that occurred on August 14 at the Surmalu shopping center.
