Yerevan Mayor on the Tragedy That Occurred

“I deeply sympathize with the families of the victims of the tragedy that took place at the Surmalu shopping center and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” wrote Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan on his Facebook page.

Recall that an explosion occurred at the Surmalu shopping center on August 14 at approximately 13:23. 62 citizens sought help at Yerevan medical centers, 4 of whom are continuing treatment, while others have been discharged after receiving the necessary medical assistance. Currently, it is known that 16 people have died, and 2 individuals are still being searched for.
