The political assistant to the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohamad Jamshidi, commented on the phone conversation between the Iranian president and the Armenian prime minister on his Twitter account. Iranian news outlets have reported this.
“During the phone conversation with Raisi, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed in detail the recent conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The president emphasized that the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement of November 9, 2020, is the only way to achieve peace, stability, and security in the Caucasus region, and called on the signatory parties to fulfill their obligations. Remembering the ancient history of the region, he stressed that the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia will be preserved at all costs,” Jamshidi wrote.
