Why Raffi Hovhannisyan Was Banned from Going to Artsakh: Official Response from Artsakh
The newspaper "Iravunk" reports: "Raffi Hovhannisyan, the first Foreign Minister of Armenia and founder of the "Heritage" party, has been banned from entering Artsakh. He intended to participate in the baptism of his grandson in Stepanakert. Soldiers at the checkpoint did not provide any valid reason or justification for the denial, but confirmed that the ban could come from the very top of official Yerevan.
Regarding this matter, "Iravunk" tried to obtain clarification from Lusine Avanesyan, the press secretary of the President of Artsakh. "I have no comments regarding this issue. I regret that," was the brief response from the president's press secretary.
Details will be reported in today's edition of the newspaper.
